Many years ago I began to study the textile tools from the Late Bronze Age site of Koukounaries on the island of Paros.
This includes spindle whorls, loom weights, and other tools.
In the past 20 years, the subject of ancient textiles had been transformed. It has received greater attention as a window onto the lives of women and has beenfitted by the better understanding of tools and technques made by experimental archaeologists.
